A new gold trading order to buy or sell a trade can be found on the tools menu within the MT4 Gold Trading Platform as shown below. The New order button for placing a new gold trading transaction is shown below. (Keyboard Short Cut Keys "F9")

Placing a New XAUUSD Order
Once you select the new order button as illustrated above the following gold trade order popup window will appear.
This popup includes the settings for placing a new xauusd trade order.
How to Set Gold Orders on MetaTrader 4
The Following Order Settings are specified for placing a new xauusd trade order:
- Symbol - Specify the instrument to be traded.
- Volume - The Number of Lots to be transacted
- Stop Loss XAUUSD Order - Set Stop Loss Gold Order, This option can be set after opening the trade, or for pending gold orders
- Take Profit XAUUSD Order - Set Take Profit Gold Order, This option can be set after opening the trade, or for pending gold orders
- Type: Market Execution or Pending Gold Order
- Sell by Market - Open a Sell Trade
- Buy by Market - Open a Buy Trade
To Buy at current xauusd price and open a new gold order select the Buy by Market gold order button
To Sell at current xauusd price and open a new gold order select the Sell by Market gold order button
