Place Average Directional Movement Index, ADX Indicator on FX Trading Chart

How to Place Technical Indicators in MT4 Forex Trading Charts

Step 1: Open Navigator Window on FX Trading Platform

Open Navigator window as shown and illustrated below: Navigate to ' View ' menu (click on it), then select ' Navigator ' window (click), or From Standard Toolbar click 'Navigator' button or press keyboard short cut keys 'Ctrl+N'

On Navigator window, choose 'Indicators' , (DoubleClick)

Step 2: Expand the Forex Indicators Menu on the Navigator

Expand the indicator menu by clicking expand button key marker (+) or doubleclick 'indicators' menu, after this the button key will appear as (-) and will now display a list as shown and illustrated below.

From Above window you can then place any technical indicator you want on the forex chart.

Placing Average Directional Movement on a FX Chart

Step 1: Select the Average Directional Movement Index button on the MT4 list of technical indicators as shown below:

Step 2: Double click the ADX Button, and click okay to place the technical indicator on forex chart as shown below:

Edit ADX Forex Technical Indicator Settings

To Adjust Settings, right-click in ADX, select properties & then edit the properties of the indicator using the pop up menu that pops and then click okay button key after you've changed settings.

The following pop up window appears and ADX settings can be edited from this popup window.
