How Do You Interpret Buy and Sell Oil Orders in MetaTrader 4 Crude Trading Charts?
To open a buy or a sell oil trade in MT4 platform - open the Market Watch Window, Select the Oil Symbol you want to open a Oil Trade with, open the crude oil chart of the instrument symbol by double clicking on the oil quote, then from the crude oil chart open a oil buy or sell oil trade using the MT4 order window shown below:
Place New Crude Oil Trade Order on Tools Menu in MT4 Software
A new buy or sell oil order to buy or sell oil can be found on the tools menu that is found in the MT4 Oil Trading Platform. The "New Crude Trading Order" button for placing a new trade transaction on the MT4 platform is shown below. (MT4 Short Cut Keyboard Keys 'F9')

Buy or Sell Order in MetaTrader 4 Software
As a oil trader, once you select the new oil order button key as illustrated above the following trade order popup window will appear. This popup includes the settings for placing a new crude oil trade.
Choose Buy to open a Buy Oil Trade
Select Sell to open a Sell Oil Trade

The Following Settings are specified for setting & placing a new crude oil order:
- Quote - Specify the instrument to be traded.
- Volume - The Number of Lots to be transacted
- Stop Loss Crude Oil Order - Set Stop Loss Oil Order, This option can be set after opening trade, or for pending oil orders
- Take Profit Crude Oil Order - Set Take Profit Oil Order, This option can be set after opening trade, or for pending oil orders
- Type: Market Execution or Pending Oil Trading Order
- Sell by Market - Open a Sell Oil Trade
- Buy by Market - Open a Buy Oil Trade
To Buy at current crude oil price select the Buy by Market button
To Sell at current crude oil price select the Sell by Market button
