Bar Chartsare charts representation of the price on a gold chart portrayed as sequence of OHCL bars. O-H-C-L represents OPEN HIGH LOW & CLOSE. The Opening price is portrayed as a horizontal dash on the left & closing price as a horizontal dash on the right.

Candlesticks Charts - the candles charts use the same price data as bar charts (open, high, low, and close). However, they in a much more easily identifiable way which resembles a candlestick with wicks on both ends.
