XAU/USD Margin Calculator in MetaTrader 4 Examples

  • If = 50:1 - Leverage Ratio

Then xauusd margin requirement = 1/50 *100= 2 %

If you have one thousand dollars,

1,000* 50 = $50,000.

1,000 / 50,000 * 100= 2 %

(To make it simple: if you have $1,000 and control $50,000 with leverage, then $1,000 is 2% of $50,000, which is your margin for trading xau/usd.)

  • If = 20:1 - Leverage Ratio

Then the gold margin requirement = 1/20 *100= 5%

If you have one thousand dollars,

1,000* 20 = $20,000.

1,000 / 20,000 * 100= 5 %

(Simply put, if you have $1,000 and can control $20,000, then $1,000 is 5% of $20,000, which is your xau/usd margin needed.)

  • If = 10:1 - Leverage Ratio

The margin requirement for the xau/usd is then equal to 1/10 100, or 10%.

If you have $1,000,

1,000* 10 = $10,000.

1,000 / 10,000 * 100= 10 percentage

(Simplify - your capital is $1,000 after leverage you control $10,000 - $1,000 is what % of $10,000 - it's 10 % margin) that's your xau/usd margin requirement
